Help needed from southern geocachers
Adam (much to his disgust) is on a course next week in Bournemouth. Rather than letting him leave mid afternoon on Sunday and spending zillions of hours on several trains getting there, I am going to drive him there Sunday morning and we can spend the day caching together somewhere in the area.
So I need some help from those of those of you who live in that general area - can you recommend to us a good caching area that is somewhere between Bournemouth and, say, Winchester? Any 'must do' caches?

The New Forest is pretty fabby. I can't remember which ones round here you've already done, but Gottle's recommendations are:
The Bear Necessities of Life GCQFR5
A Bridge Too Far GCQCVC
TRIcKEY GCPNKC
Test Way 1 GCJHJ8
Blogger's Bog GCNDXB
And any / all of the "Solent Way" series. Be warned that the Multis on the list are all a bit time consuming, but they're great. Best pubs for lunch are either the one at the parking for "Bridge Too far" or the one about 2 miles south of Bloggers Bog.

Ooh! Our pub's in Ringwood in the New Forest (about 10 miles north of Bournemouth) and there are about 350 caches within a 30-mile radius! Do a search on geocaching.com on BH24 1TY and let me know if you fancy a Sunday Carvery lunch at the best pub in the universe!

Thanks everyone! I was thinking of the New Forest but wasn't sure how much the problems with the authorities a while back had affected the caching there.
And yes Lois - I think we'll take you up on that!

Lisa, ring me if you want to book: 07725 545434. It would be nice to see you, and, who knows, one or two others might come, too!
